Protecting forests to mitigate global climate change
A paper prepared for the Chatham House meeting 'Forest governance and trade: exploring options' which looked at predicted global change over the years leading up to 2020, and the effect of this on forest governance and trade. This paper looks at the impact of climate change on forest ecosystems and land use, and at the impact of deforestation on climate change.
