DMCii supplies satellite imaging on demand, with a specialisation in imaging and mapping tropical rainforests using a constellation of UK-built satellites to provide rapid timely coverage of large areas with moderate resolution (22-32 metre pixels).
In 2010 DMCii imaged the whole of sub-Saharan Africa, supplying imagery of the Congo Basin to forest monitoring projects. Since 2005 DMCii has provided annual multi-season coverage of the Amazon Basin for the Brazilian Government, available from our on-line archive.
DMCii also provides mapping of forest extent, change detection, clear cuts, logging roads, fire damage, land cover change.
